Cook County is at a crossroads. For too long, our communities have been ignored, underserved, and overtaxed — and the same people in power keep giving us the same empty promises. But Andre Smith is not more of the same.

Andre is a proven community leader who has spent decades fighting for what’s right — not for headlines, but for real results. From bringing the South Side its long-overdue trauma center, to demanding a federal investigation into the misappropriation of COVID-19 vaccines meant for the residents of the Austin community — but instead given to wealthy outsiders — Andre has always stood up when others stayed silent.

He’s stood with unions on strike for fair wages, demanded that minority contractors receive their fair share of county contracts, helped small businesses grow, and successfully fought to repeal the unfair sugar tax that targeted working-class families. Andre has been consistent, effective, and fearless — and he didn’t need a title to do it.

Now, he’s ready to bring that same energy, integrity, and results-driven leadership to the office of Cook County Commissioner. Because we deserve leadership that shows up, stands up, and delivers.
